Terms of Service

Welcome to inthealcove.com (the "Site"), operated by The Alcove LLC ("The Alcove," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site, including the Agreements Atelier, Art of Advocacy, Alchemy in the Alcove, and AI in the Alcove programs and any related content, templates, workshops, or community features (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Not Legal Advice

The Alcove provides legal strategy education, contract templates, negotiation training, and related content for general informational purposes only. Nothing on the Site, in our templates, workshops, masterclasses, or community — including anything provided through the Agreements Atelier, Art of Advocacy, Own Your Terms®, Alchemy in the Alcove, or AI in the Alcove — constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of the Site or Services. Contract templates are provided as educational starting points and are not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any template or guidance is appropriate for your specific circumstances.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. If you create an account or submit your email to join a waitlist, download a template, or access a program, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

3. Purchases and Third-Party Platforms

Certain templates, courses, and programs (including the Template Library) may be hosted or sold through third-party platforms, such as Teachable. Your purchase and use of those offerings may also be subject to that platform's terms and payment policies. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party platforms.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, templates, curricula, graphics, the Alcove name, logo, and brand elements — is owned by or licensed to The Alcove and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Templates you purchase or download are licensed to you for use in your own business; you may not resell, redistribute, or repurpose our templates or course materials as your own product.

5. Waitlists and Community Features

Where we offer a waitlist (such as AI in the Alcove), simulations, clinics, or community access, participation is subject to availability and these Terms. We may modify, pause, or discontinue any program at any time.

6. Prohibited Conduct

7. Disclaimers

The Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any template, strategy, or workshop will achieve a particular legal or business outcome.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Alcove will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Site or Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Alcove operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
